PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In the Heart of London a stone’s throw from the River Thames, is 1 Southwark Bridge. This building and the surrounding site went through an upgrade and refurbishment, which was completed in 2024. Structure Tone were chosen as the principal contractors. Capital Concrete were selected to provide the white concrete, which was used to create an outdoor seating area and a bespoke planter on the site. This colour was achieved by using HATCRETE’s White Colourmix to integrally pigment the concrete. The outdoor seating area complements the buildings sleek and modern look, offering a long lasting, aesthetically pleasing area for people to enjoy. Integrally pigmented white concrete isn’t a colour you often see, as it is known as a colour that can’t be easily achieved when pigmenting concrete. However, with HATCRETE’s market leading granular colouring system, it is demonstrated beautifully here.
