PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Sterling Services has completed two multi-storey towers at the Imperial Development in Bromley-By-Bow for Henry Construction. This is a housing development, part of a wider regeneration scheme close to the 2012 Olympic site.

The towers stand at 17 and 28 storeys tall and now provide a local landmark for this area of London. The towers are amongst the tallest buildings Sterling has worked on, it’s also the greenest – using  HATCRETE Everglade Adcolour for 1600m³ of architectural precast concrete. The surface finish is an exposed aggregate which was achieved by using surface retardant in the moulds.

“Getting the right colour green consistently for the concrete has been a great challenge for the team and the client is very happy with the result” a spokesperson for Sterling Services states. The architect now has plans for more buildings using a range of green and orange integral Adcolour.
